The Great American Smokeout: Quit Like a Champion!

Here in the U.S., every third Thursday in November since 1976 has been set aside for the Great American Smokeout (GASO), where smokers are encouraged to put down their cigarettes for just one day.  Thousands do so every year, and many of them go on from there to quit for good.

If you're planning to quit soon, (and there's no time like the present!), the GASO is a great day to do it.  This year, the GASO falls on Thursday, November 19th.

For our friends outside of the U.S., join us! There's plenty of room at this party.

This week's newsletter has plenty of info to get you started with cessation, and don't forget to drop in at the About Smoking Cessation Support Forum.  It's a busy place!

You can do this.  Believe it and be willing to work for it.
