The Seasonal Affective Disorder Struggle Is Real. Yoga Can Help

Even if it hasn't been a particularly cold winter where you live, these short days can still contribute to Seasonal Affective Disorder, aka SAD. It's not unusual for a bad case of the winter blues to kick in right after the holidays. Yoga for depression expert Amy Weintraub shared some of her methods for using yoga to counteract SAD. How Yoga Can Help People With Seasonal Affective Disorder  
Amy Weintraub’s suggestions are based on stimulating the pineal gland in the brain where melatonin is produced, as well as working to counter the hunched posture we so often assume in winter. Do note that these poses will work best when done as a part of a consistent yoga practice
