Lesson 5 - Quit Smoking Aids
Terry Martin
From Terry Martin, your Guide to Smoking Cessation

Far and away, the best quit aid on the planet is your own determination to stop smoking. If you aren't motivated and committed to kicking the habit, there isn't a quit aid available that can help you. But if you are, any of them can work beautifully.

That said, a variety of products are on the market today that are designed to help people quit smoking gradually. Choosing one that is right for you is essentially a matter of preference, barring any medical concerns you may have. It's always a good idea to check with your doctor about quit smoking options and discuss what might work best for you before making a decision.

We are fortunate indeed to live in a time when there are so many different types of quit aids that are designed to help us stop smoking. The more choices we have, the more lives are saved, ultimately.

Remember: Quit aids are just that - aids. If you're determined to quit smoking, they can be a big help. If your heart isn't in it, there isn't a quit aid made that will be able to help you.
