I know that because you are here, you're serious in your desire to kick cigarettes out of your life. You've signed up for this course hoping to find some help to get you moving in the right direction. You've come to the right place!
Use the information in the following lessons to set yourself up for a successful quit program. You'll learn what to expect as you go through the process of recovery from nicotine addiction, and the knowledge you'll gain will provide you with solid tools to help you manage your quit more easily. A little preparation and education will put you in the driver's seat with smoking cessation, which is right where you want to be.
The focus of today's lesson is on thinking about why you want to quit smoking. Listing out your reasons in as much detail as possible is a good motivator, and also makes for a great first entry in a quit journal. Once you quit smoking, use your journal to jot your thoughts and feelings in daily. It's a valuable tool that you can refer to - seeing just how far you've come can be a big boost when you're having a bad day.
For now though, let's work on creating a solid list of your personal reasons for quitting. Nothing is too small of insignificant to be included. Carry your list with you and add to it as things come to mind.
