Nutrition facts labels can be useful if you're tracking your intake of calories or of a particular nutrient. But after 20 years, the FDA is proposing an overhaul of these labels to clarify some areas of confusion -- making it easier to understand the number of servings contained in a package, and adding or dispensing with certain nutrient indicators. The question is, how much attention do you pay to what's on the back or side of a package, and does it change what and how much you eat? Does it matter to you how many calories are derived from fat? If so, I have news for you.
