News: What You Should Know About Jimmy Fallon’s Gruesome Injury

Last month Jimmy Fallon tripped on a rug, caught his finger on a table as he fell, and pulled it off. Not quite all the way off, but he required six hours of microsurgery – which included a vein being transplanted from his foot to his hand – to save his finger from being amputated.

The remarkable thing is that this injury – called  “ring avulsion” – is far from unheard of, and it’s something that everyone who wears a wedding ring should be aware of.  Can you avoid it?
