Indulgences You Can Afford if You Don't Smoke | Back when I stopped smoking, the generic brand of cigarettes I bought were $3.50 a pack. Today, they are at least double that, and in some places, brand name cigarettes are well over $10 per pack. The quit meter I have running in the background on my computer tells me that at the $3.50 rate, I've saved $21,500 to date. That's a lot of money that I am now able to put to much more beneficial use. If you've stopped smoking recently, save that cigarette money and use it for something special, like one of the ideas in this week's highlighted article. Have a great week, all.
