Snacks can play an important part in a healthy diet, tiding us over between meals. Of course, you have to choose the right foods for those snacks to be healthy. Fortunately, whether you want sweet, salty, soft or crunchy, there are plenty of healthy and delicious options. Serve some of these at your Super Bowl party this Sunday.

Healthy Snacks
It can be hard to make it from one meal to the next without being tempted to raid the cookie jar, nibble a piece of candy, or mindlessly dip into a bag of chips. But if you're serious about eating low fat, you should satisfy your between-meal hunger with healthy snacks.

A few weeks ago people were sharing a brilliant poster online.  It took famous lines from classic movies, and represented each in chart form.  One of my favorites was the visual representation of the Abbot and Costello's Who's on First Base? And it inspired the theme of this week's newsletter.

We often think of having to initiate sex as something that is only a problem for fumbling teens.  But for adults, particularly those in long term relationships, the question of who initiates sex (and who doesn't) can become a mine field of accusations, guilt, and bitterness.  Humor is one way to address the issue.  But since I'm not that funny I thought I'd try earnestness instead.   ~  Cory

Who's On First or How to Stop Worrying and Get Sex Started
If you're struggling with the question of how to initiate sex or who "should" be doing it, here are eight tips for you to read and possibly share as a less than passive suggestion to your partner.

Help Me Help My Boyfriend!

I have a problem. It feels like the only time my boyfriend & I have sex is when he initiates it. I've always been a little ashamed at times trying to start something with my boyfriend, but I have tried spicing things up by buying some sexy lingerie thinking that would help but now he tells me he likes T-shirt & panties.

Can you please give me some tips?! I really need help!! Thanks, in advance, for any help!

Me neither, at least not until I was invited to by Chaplin Christopher Jones and artist/activist/agitator Ted Kerr to do just that in their Litany for Burning Condoms.  They warned me it would be hard, stinky, work.  They weren't wrong.

Available as an over-the-counter supplement and by prescription, niacin can affect certain aspects of your cholesterol profile. This newsletter will tell you what you need to know about niacin and its effect on your lipids -- especially if you are trying to decide whether or not to include it in your lipid-lowering plan.

What Is Niacin And How Does It Work?

Niacin can affect all aspects of your lipid profile to some degree. This medication works a little differently than other cholesterol-lowering products available on the market, and is available in different forms.

Types of Niacin and Their Effect on Your Cholesterol

Niacin has gained a lot of popularity lately because of its heart-healthy benefits. What you might not know is that the word "niacin" is actually a blanket term that covers three slightly different chemicals. Find out more about these different types of niacin, and how they affect your cholesterol levels.

Is There A Difference Between Niacin Supplements?

If you are using niacin supplements to lower cholesterol levels, you may have noticed that there are many different types of niacin. All forms of niacin are not created equally, so which form of niacin supplements are best for lowering cholesterol?

How Can I Prevent Niacin Side Effects?

Although helpful in keeping your cholesterol levels in check, niacin is also associated with certain undesirable side effects. Find out more about the side effects of niacin and what you can do to help prevent them.
